  • Systems experiencing drought conditions should view this video on Drought Emergency Planning for Public Water Systems in Texas.  The video acquaints water system operators with planning tools and other resources available to manage drought.
  • The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality maintains detailed information on the current drought conditions and available resources to help systems experiencing drought related water supply issues.  Visit theTexas Drought Information page for more information.
  • Funding through the USDA's Emergency Community Water Assistance Grants is available to assist rural communities that have experienced a significant decline in quantity or quality of drinking water due to an emergency, or in which such decline is considered imminent, to obtain or maintain adequate quantities of water.
  • The TDA's Urgent Need Fund offers grants to restore water or wastewater infrastructure whose sudden failure poses an imminent threat to life or public health.  Review the Urgent Need Fund for more eligibility, highlights, and contact information.
